Suvadip completed his Ph.D. in 2014 on Soil Organic Carbon Dynamics under Changed Climate at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-National Rice Research Institute (ICAR-NRRI), Cuttack, India. He worked there as Senior Research Fellow from 2008 to 2015 on Soil Organic Carbon Dynamics vis-a-vis Anticipatory Climatic Changes and Crop Adaptation Strategies and National Initiative on Climate Resilient Agriculture. From 2015 to 2017, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Geography and Resource Management in The Chinese University of Hong Kong, on ecosystem biogeochemistry where he explored the effects of land use and land cover changes on soil organic carbon fractions and nutrient stoichiometry in coastal wetlands. Being associated with research groups he has contributed in publishing a good number of research papers in top-tier peer-reviewed journals till date.
