IPCC Gender Task Group

The Panel at its Forty-Seventh session, held on 13-16 March 2018 in Paris France, decided to establish a task group to develop a framework of goals and actions to improve gender balance and address gender-related issues within the IPCC.

The IPCC gender task group will report back to the Forty-Ninth session of the IPCC in May 2019 and in so doing propose recommendations to the Panel for further action. In the preparation of a report on gender balance and gender related issues within the IPCC, the IPCC Gender Task Group will solicit submissions on relevant national and international gender policies and strategies from the members and observer organizations of the IPCC and consult other relevant organizations.
